PREPARING FOR WILDFIRES

  • FIRE DEPARTMENT PROGRAMS: FIRESAFE PROGRAM

    The Firesafe Program has processed more than $1.05 million in wildland and structural protective clothing and gear. The merchandise is purchased in bulk in order to pass along savings of 30 to 40 percent to rural and small community fire departments.

     


     + Eligibility

    Any chartered, non-profit volunteer or part-paid volunteer fire department with 20 or less paid members is eligible.

     

     + Catalog

    The Firesafe Program offers wildland fire equipment, including personal protective equipment, hoses, nozzles and other water handling accessories. This equipment was designed for wildland fires and should not be used on structure or industrial fires.

    The Firesafe Catalog (PDF, 344KB) offers a description and most current, cost-saving pricing for available items. Orders are shipped in a timely manner or will ship as soon as the back ordered product becomes available. Priority of shipping will begin with the customers who have waited the longest.
